Michel Mazzoni - Straight In The Light Edition

He shows, exhibits, and installs his territories. His choices are often stark, as he questions abandonment and desolation, seeking beauty beyond appearances. His work is imbued with a sensitivity that pays attention to the interactions between the immateriality of light, the point of view, and the demands of the frame, like a constant confrontation between perceptions. One simply has to see, to take the time, one might say.
So he scrutinizes maps, observes cities, crisscrosses the surrounding areas, a visitor of erasure and vanished traces, creating, in a way, an archaeology of the intangible and questioning, through light, what remains long after the ephemeral.
