Joel Meyerowitz - The City Resilient

80

The City Resilient is a landmark 2002 photography exhibition and catalog by the acclaimed American photographer Joel Meyerowitz.
Created in collaboration with the Museum of the City of New York, it features his poignant, large-format photographs capturing Ground Zero in the immediate aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Meyerowitz was famously the only independent photographer granted unrestricted, around-the-clock access to the World Trade Center site during the rescue and recovery efforts. His work serves as an archive of the physical destruction and a testament to the endurance and solidarity of the recovery workers.
