Born in 1991, Marvin Bonheur grew up in the Parisian suburbs, in Seine-Saint-Denis. Living in Paris since 2013, he discovered photography with a compact film camera and quickly developed La Trilogie du Bonheur (The Trilogy of Happiness ), an emblematic series dedicated to the memories, daily life and dreams of the working-class neighborhoods of the 93rd district.
His work, both aesthetic and social, then extended to other territories: Martinique, London, Lisbon, Roubaix, Shanghai or Seoul.
Through an approach blending documentary and poetry, Marvin Bonheur illuminates urban culture and popular voices. His world, imbued with melancholy and sensitivity, explores notions of identity, memory, and territory.
